Philippines as a developing country in the South East Asia is still on its process of urbanization and industrialization, were life became more complicated. As the population expanded, the job of communicationINg in a massive scale became more complex. A system of delivering infromation to many people at the same time became necessary and so mass communication was born. (Maslog,2007)
Mass communication as a field of study has now become intergrated into the curriculum of institutions of higher learning. As the mass media in this country endeavor to realize quality standards, it is therefore expected that they would also be needing special skills and competence, The Fourth estate , as well as the other media of mass communication, must prepare for this, and youth may also start to consider the mass media now as a possible are for their talent and social role.(Feliciano-Icban,1967)
Students entering the tertiary level became attracted to study the course in mass communication or communication arts because of the growing demand of public and private instritutions not only in this country but also in abroad.
Since its inception the problem with the supply of suitable local reference book in the course subject introduction to mass communication became numb and because of the availabilty of foreign educational materials, dependence on foreign intro to mass communication text book reaches now its maturity and it become more institutionalize.
Mass communication school materials authored by the Americans are irrelevant to the Philippine setting. From this comes a mind-set that things learned in school most of them not related to real life.
Helping students understand media will be the foremost consideration of the study. For this reason, attention to pedagogical techniques will be evident to even the casual reader.
The researcher shared the same predicament with the rest of Philippine communicatiors both in the academe and media industry including Proffesor Alito Molino in his book “ Journalism for Filipinos”, but only in the wider scope of mass media. Most of the books in Introduction to mass communication until now are used in universities and colleges written by American authors that quite naturally espouse the American points of view, most of them, if not all, irrelevant to Philippine situation.
Although the basic writing techiniques are there, the examples and illustrations given in these books are based on American experiences and practices.(Molino,2007)
The foreword of former Senator Orly Mercado on the book of Dr. Crispin Maslog’s Philippine Communication Today, the senator said,
“ So over the years have been seeing western books in our schools. Even our mass communicators have been reading mostly American or English books in communication. And so western cultrual imperialism has extended even to our mass media. As a member of the board directors of the Philippine Association of Communication Educators (PACE) many years ago. I remember how we talked fervently about the need for Filipino textbooks in communication and I remember how no one did anything about it, until now”.
After seminars, workshops and conferences attended by Philippine communication educators, talk would enevitably wander into the are of locally authored textbooks in communication. Everyone would wax eloquent over the need for indigenous instructional materials, which are not only more relevant but less expensive for our Filipino Students.(Maslog,2007)
Only one, a book of readings has, been put together since the arrival of the books of Filipino communication educators such as Gloria d. Feliciano and Crispulo Icban with their Philippine Mass Media in Perspective was probably the first comprehensive attempt at a scholarly evaluation of the status of mass communication in the country dated November,1967 was almost a decade old and getting outdated. (Maslog,1988)
In 1980-81, the grant was given to some faculty members of Silliman’s School of Communication, headed by Dr. Crispin Maslog to do the research “ A Brief History of Philippine Mass Communication”,Introduction to Communication during 1988 to his latest book Philippine Communication Today (2007) intended for the situation of Philippine Communication in its broader aspect.
Thus, the researcher limits the study specifically about the inputs of stakeholders in developing reference book for subject course Introduction to Mass Communication—in the Philippine Setting, of second year students in mass communication or communication arts who even until now is being fed by Western Ideologies, ideas and concepts on mass communication in our colleges and universities.

As a Nation why we don’t have our National Thanksgiving?
-A Study of Origin and Implementation of National Thanksgiving Day in the Philippines
Almost every day of the year, in the countless barangays, 1500 towns, 115 cities and 79 provinces in its more than 7,100 islands, the Philippines boasts of many colorful and historically interesting fiestas and festivals. Fiestas and festivals are often religious, sometimes purely secular. But they are always socio-cultural events woven deeply into the texture of Filipino life. The Filipinos, after all, are gregarious, fun-loving, sociable, communitarian and hospitable-traits best demonstrated in the many fiestas or festivals throughout the country.
The Filipino Psyche of Thanksgiving
At this point we shift our focus to Sikolohiyang Pilipino (Filipino Psychology), which is an area of study that is anchored on Filipino thought and experience as understood from a Filipino perspective. The most important aspect of this definition is the Filipino orientation. For centuries, Filipino behavior has been analyzed and interpreted in the light of Western theories. Since these are invariably culture-bound, the picture of the Filipino has been inaccurate, if not distorted. Virgilio Enriquez (1975), who first articulated this truly indigenous SP, defined SP as “the study of diwa (psyche) which in Filipino directly refers to the wealth of ideas referred to by the philosophical concept if ‘essence’ and an entire range of psychological concepts from awareness to motives to behavior” (16).
Only the Filipinos,, so far , have the exclusive right to fathom the ancient Filipino way of thanksgiving long before the colonizers first contact in the archipelago, in as much as the Filipinos are the only ones who can penetrate into the secrets and traditions of their own community and homes. (De los Reyes,2009)
The Filipino words that describe “Salamat po “—in the Filipino language are simply unstranslatable into English; they are better listened to with the heart than understood by the mind.(Grospe,1997)
In search of its Origin
One in search of the origins and the persistence of the festival- particularly its place in the Filipino psyche—need go no further than Instramuros, the walled City that was the incarnation of the grandeur of the Spanish colonial period, and its plethora of religious festivals, including the greats and most fervently observed in the country. While the following article in its entirely is a scholarly treatise on the triple-pronged theme of religion, fiesta and Intramuros. We have taken the liberty of excepting certain portions that give us a glimpse into fabled old manila and the religious festivals that so marked and shaped the minds and souls of its residents, in effect, of the whole Philippines.
When the Spanish “conquistadores” arrived in the Philippines, they found that the natives already observed many feasts or celebrations, among then thanksgiving for a good harvest from the land or the sea. During these occassions they would dance, sing eat, and drink. It appeared the favorite meat during those festivities was pork as attested by Pigafetta.
Culturally, the upland Filipinos, have the belief in the active participation of the spirits in lives of men. To celebrate a festival, which they call pandot or worship.
Among the Tagalogs. Plasencia reports of existence of a ritual complex involving the celebration of feasts, The festival called Pandot were normally celebrated in the house of chiefs. Drums and songs were used during the ritual performances.
The entire community will come together to worship in the Chief house, which was erroneously labeled by the chroniclers as a temple. The form of worship was known as “nagaanito”.
Feasting existed in pre-colonial Philippines. They were usually expressions of thanksgiving for a good year or bountiful harvest, or a plea for a child or greater harvest in the next season. Many of these still exist today, albeit with the Christian veneer imposed by the Spaniards, whose mission it was to Christianize the islands. They were transformed into fiestas.
Fiestas, an abbreviation of fiesta patronal, are annual celebrations held in barangays, towns or cities in honor of the feast day of a partron saint. By etymology, fiestas are Spanish, Christian celebrations adopted in Christian lowland Philippines. For their part, Festivals are celebrations centering on non-christian or non-religious persons, events lore, products, etc. Sometimes a festival springs a fiesta. For instance, the patron saint of Muban, Quezon, is St. Bonaventure. The Maubanog Festival, which celebrates Mauban’s lamabanog ( distilled fermented coconut sap), is timed to coincide with the fiesta. Another example is the Pintados-Kasadyaan Festival of Leyte , fusion of the Santo Nino Fiesta and the historico-cultural elaboration of Leyte. Non-Christian Filipinos also have a variety of festivals, whose rites and rituals add variety and color to feasting in the country.
Hispanization of the Philippines
In the Hispanization of the Philippines, John Leddy Phelan asserts that fiestas provided the Spanish colonizers a means of administering especially the marginalized parishioners-those who lived in higher terrain or near their fields, far from the cabecera or poblacion (town center). Three fiestas of consequence periodically enticed these souls to visit fiesta patronal. The fiestas provided an opportunity to indoctrinate the natives as they took a break from toil.
Another cause of feasting was the obligatory periodic visit of the provincial superior to the parishes. The prelate and his retinue were usually received in the manner of Christ’entry into Jerusalem Palm Sunday, as the custom was in Europe as far back as the Middle Ages. While Filipinos were not always aware of the ceremony’s elaborate liturgical symbolism, they relished the pageantry of event.
The most interesting fact about the festivals in the Philippines is the people relentless effort to make it happen despite whatever circumstances the country is in. Rain or shine, the festival must and has to go on. It’s a good thing that the Philippines had preserved wonderful festivals over the years.
Filipinos are resilient people and have the ability to bounce back, like it’s mythological bamboo, which sways with the harsh winds of typhoon, only to rise unscathed when the storm is over.
A letter of Thanksgiving from our Martyr
And even unto death a sense of giving thanks to his creator was found in the letter of Rizal was presented to the Republic of Philippines, and by Spain through has ministers of foreign affairs, Martin Artajo, February 26,1953. It has no date, but it must have been written at Fort Santiago, Shortly before he was led to his execution on Bagumbayan, Manila.
Rizal, 1896
Dear Parents and Brothers:
Give thanks to God that I may preserve my tranquility before my death. I die resigned, hoping that with my death you will be let in peace and its better to die than to live suffering. Console yourselves.
Bury me in the ground, place a stone and a cross over it. My name the date of my birth and of my death, nothing more.
If later you wish to surround my grave with a fence you can do it. No Anniversaries, I prefer Paang Bundok.
This document was published in one volume, Documentos Rizalinas, Manila, 1953 by: Philippine Government.
Likewise, Senator Benigno NiNoy Aquino after 7 months and 7 days of hunger strike, he still said “I thank God for making me a Filipino”, thankfulness to our Creator was already in our blood streams even in our deepest depression we are not only thankful because of the abundance of harvest or good fortunes.
American Period
At the turn of the century when the Americans occupied the islands, the church was the hub of community life. Historian James A. Leroy observed that the schools established by the Americans drew community life away form the church and toward the schools, Even now, however, the church dominates a major portion of community affairs. The fiesta is still orchestrated by the religious. Meanwhile festivals, latecomers in comparison are organized by civic and governmental leaders.
First American and British Thanksgiving in Manila
Part of our history about the Thanksgiving that took place in November 24,1898—Thanksgiving Day has been generally observed by the Americans here, and the British also celebrated the day as a holiday. The feature of the day’s was a dinner tendered by Mr. O. F. Williams the United States Consul here, to officers of the American army and navy. Covers were laid for thirty –four persons.
A question from the Senator
1960’ Senator Raul Manglapus blamed fiestas for the perennial poverty of the people. The poor are pressured to borrow money they cannot afford to pay to entertain their guests for fiestas. Excesses in celebrating festivals, indeed, are counterproductive. But his proposal to ban fiestas was all for naught, and for several good reasons.
Fiestas and Festivals are mode of communication with the Divine, Proof of this is the panata of devotes. This may be to sponsor expenses for the perpetuation of an event, to maintain a holy image, or to perform acts of faith such as dancing in the street or self-flagellation. The festivities are, therefore, a prayer, an act of faith.
Fiestas and festivals, however, also reaffirm a people’s unique culture and history. Participating in festivities, especially a month for youth , instills an identity, a pride of place.
Finally, contrary to the argument of the senator, festivities today are engines of economic development. They are used for information dissemination, market transaction and tourism promotion, Proof of this is the quantity of new festivals continually being created, boosting interest in what are little-known places and cultures and contributing to the income of its various stakeholders. The Filipino’s love for celebrating has thus been harnessed for economic growth.
Festivals Among Filipinos Overseas
With today’s leaps in transportation and communication. A global community is forming. But wherever Filipinos go, they take with them the fiesta psyche. In the United States, Filipino-American communities in major cities celebrate the feast day of their town’s patrons of their personal ones. They also celebrate holidays such as Christmas, with Philippine Fiesta symbols. In the East Coast, the “Philippine fiesta symbols. In the East Coast, the “Philippine Fiesta in America” is held. IT is a two-day exposition celebrating the merriment and vibrancy of the Filipinos and their arts, culture and cuisine. It features a trade fair and socials where on can rediscover being Filipino. A similar event has held in London annually since 1984. The same holds for Paris.
Unavoidable Comparison of Filipino and Western way of Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving-Kano or Pinoy Style

A need for Moral Recovery and other Essays (1994)
In mid-November of 1620, the ship “May flower” loaded with refugees from the Old World landed on the shoeres of what we call now Masschisets Bay. Governor William Bradford, a witness to said landing, wrote in this diary:
“They fell upon their knees and blessed the God of heaven, who had brought them over the vast and furious ocean, and delivered them from all the periles(sic) and miseries thereof…
The early Pilgrims upon landing on the shores of North America fell upon their knees, praised the Lord in thanksgiving for a safe journey and arrival at a new but bountiful land. This thanksgiving was later on institutionalized as a day of US national observance every fourth Thursday of November. By tradition, almost every American home on that day adorn their tables with roast turkeys and other goodies to feast upon them.
We have no records on what the early settlers in the Philippines prior to the coming of the Spaniards did upon landing on our shores in praise of, or thanksgiving to the Almighty. However, it is a matter of record that a century before the landing of the Pligrim in North America, Ferdinand Magellan’s chronicler-Antonio Pigafetta aboard Megellan’s flagship Trinidad- recorded in March 1521 in his diary:
“When I reached the shore the king (native Filipino chieftain) raised his hands toward the sky and then toward us ….The king had a plate of pork brought in and a large jar filled with wine…”
Pigafetta also described the ceremonies native Filipinos observed in butchering the swine and how “ the hair is removed from the hog by means of fire…”
Thus, when the Spanish “conquistadores” arrived in the Philippines, they found that the natives already observed many feasts or celebrations, among then thanksgiving for a good harvest from the land or the sea. During these occassions they would dance, sing eat, and drink. It appeared the favorite meat during those festivities was pork as attested by Pigafetta.
Subsequently, when Catholicism was introduced in the Philippines Filipinos started observing the feast of San Isidro Labrador, the Patron Saint of agriculture or good harvest. We held masses, processions and festivities such as the one observed yearly in Lucban, Quezon where we have the “Pahiyas” agricultural products and multi-colored dried rice cakes (“kiping”) were displayed from windows of houses. This form of thanksgiving had become a tourist attraction during the month of May in Lucban. Every town and village in the Philippines generally observe the feast of San Isidro.
And so, while our North America Friends have thanksgiving every fourth Thursday of November, we have the feast of San Isidro every 15th of May.
During thanksgiving our North American friends slaughter and roast turkeys to feast on the adorn their tables; while we Filipinos during the feast of San Isidro serve and adorn our tables with “lechon-baboy”(roast pork) together with rice cakes and tropical fruits.
You have your pick-the “kano” or “pinoy” styles? Both occasions are not to satisfy one’s gluttony, but in praise and thanksgiving to the “Great Provider”.
Theoretical Framework
Theory of Multiculturalism
The only way for us to recover from our cultural amnesia, which have for so long weakened our resolve to progress, is to do away with these negative stereotypes and restore one of our core values to their rightful place in our consciousness. This core value which have remained intact in spite of the historical changes and numerous celebrations that have taken place, can then be harnessed to strengthen our sense of thankfulness and debt of gratitude to our Creator, Nation and our people.
In social science, Kallen’s cultural pluralism was based on a philosophical examination of the past and on three prepositions:
1. No one choose his or her ancestry
2. Each minority culture has something positive to contribute to the society
3. The idea of democracy and equality carries an implicit assumption that there are differences between individuals and groups that can be viewed as equal.
Today’s advocates of cultural pluralism often call for the maintenance of enough sub-societal separation to guarantee the continuance of the ethnic cultural tradition and existence of the group, without at the same time interfering with the carrying out standard responsibilities to the general civic life.
It is clear that according to Kallen’s Cultural Pluralism each monitory culture has something positive to contribute to the society; with the same social-structure that we have here in the Philippines, sometimes they are blaming our regionalistic culture the division among the Filipino people and the barrier of our geographic location. In spite of these realities according to the Cultural Pluralism Theory in spite of our differences and our geographical barriers. Each minority and the majority have something positive to contribute for the development of the society.
The researcher strongly believe that the National Thanksgiving of the Philippines is one of the most positive thing that we as people can contribute to our country and also it will be one of the entry point of the unity of our nation.
Conclusion and Recommendation
Based on our ancient culture and traditions before the arrival of the colonizers we, Filipinos are celebrating and feasting the act of thanksgiving what ever situation we may in, a simple family with small amount of rice and tuyo (dried fish) on their table will close their eyes, pray and give thanks to God for the grace that have been given to them, a help from a stranger along the highway will be insulted if you will pay their goodness with money, just merely uttering salamat po will suffice their act of kindness. And our national hero Jose Rizal console his family by giving thanks to God event he is in the midst of desolation and injustices. Although people may think that this tradition was exploited by the colonizers for us to be contented and thankful for what we have –not to question their authority.
The reality of these festivals was spotted by former Senator Raul Manglapus because of the poor are pressured to borrow money they cannot afford to pay to entertain their guests for fiestas.
However, the intent of national thanksgiving is not to put any additional burden to Juan dela Cruz, it is not about the preparation of lavish food nor a turkey but the simplicity of Filipino Family creating and defining the culture of Filipino Thanksgiving—happiness and contentment, appreciation of our culture heritage and the beauty of our natural resources, as dignified people from the highest authority of the land down to the single person in the society, the talents, skills and competence of Filipinino people in global perspective.
Most of all giving thanks to the Almighty for all the things that He have done to us as a nation, giving thanks to our mother and its people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, gender and social class, thus breaking the barriers between different principles, belief system and ideologies.
“Wherever you are in the world, or in our archipelago, you are part of the whole, you are part of the Filipino family.
Every Filipino is part of the Answer, of the Solution.
Each one of us is part of the Hope we seek for our Motherland.”
Filipinos can simply say” Salamat po” and just simple way of saying “thank you” with also respect to each and every Filipino citizen. The Debt of gratitude, (Utang na loob) to Creator, nation and its people can be made the moral basis of National thanksgiving.
Loving the Filipino and our Philippines is not only nationalism and patriotism. There is a higher reason than that. It is loving what God has given to us.
Philippine Independence:Revisited

After 115 yrs. of the so called Philippine Independence let us re-evaluate the freedom that we have, what kind of KALAYAAN we possessed.Perhaps the most damning indictment of the Spanish regime in the Philippines ever to appear in print was written in 1821. It was written by an anonymous but highly articulate person who signed himself simply as “EL INDIO AGRAVIADO” (An aggrieved Indio). By W.E. Retana, Archivo del Bibliofilo Filipino, 5 vols. ( Madrid, 1895-1905, pp. 197-198.
It illuminates in simple but unforgettable language the colonial policy followed by the Spaniards since the coming of Miguel Lopez de Legazpi and Father Urdaneta in 1565.
Although an Indio, the author must have been close enough to the seat of Spanish power to be able not only to understand but also to forecast the possible consequences of the benighted colonial policy.
If we allow the indios to learn Spanish some of them may turn out to be satirists and scholars who will understand what we say, dispute with us and write things against us.
If we allow them to prosper they will become rich… aspire to high and important positions,
become persons of distinction, It is not shameful that they should be on the same level as ourselves?
And so that they may never rise from their miserable condition, that they may always be poor, that we may have them serve us always: let us not teach them Spanish; let us leave them in their ignorance;….let us not provide them with money, that being always needy they may learn to steal.
Thus we shall be able to cal them thieves, and if by a miracle they refrain from stealing, being in need they will do what work they can for whatever wage they can get.
By this method or system we will always be the masters and they will always be poor, miserable and ignorant, bearing all injuries, unable to defend themselves… What then is left for the poor Indio? If he tries to reason with you, he is impertinent; if he keeps his peace, he is a dolt…
Before we celebrate our so called Philippine Independence, are the issues of colonial policies of the cruel Spaniards are still around us.
The laws of the land and our educational materials written in Foreign Language. The basis of good education when you know the English language at least not Spanish? If we allow the indios to learn Spanish some of them may turn out to be satirists and scholars who will understand what we say, dispute with us and write things against us. ”. 80% of Philippine Riches own by 20% Hacienderos, Politial Dynaties since the departure of the previous colonial masters.” that they may always be poor, that we may have them serve us always: let us not teach them Spanish; let us leave them in their ignorance;….let us not provide them with money, that being always needy they may learn to steal.”
Nowadays, it is not always the poor steals but large amount of money was kept through the law of bank secrecy by professionals thieves hailed by the media and their publics.
By this method or system we will always be the masters and they will always be poor, miserable and ignorant, bearing all injuries, unable to defend themselves. When the first batch of TRAPOS stole the Revolution and Sell it for 400,000 mexican pesos, our new breed of Trapos saw these patterns, the system just to stay in power and until now are being glorified in pedestal while the Filipinos are suffering making them slaves in their own country unwittingly. By constant orientation we are being told that we are Free Nation, we are Independent but from where? In what sense? At least we are not forced to work by the Spaniards?
Colonial Masters are like viruses and parasites they mutate until they find new ways to sucked the last blood of their captive nations. And they will connive with our homegrown Trapos making colonial mentality acceptable to the Filipinos. Unless we seek the True Sense of Independence from the genuine heart and intention of our forefathers that really loved and fought for our country not for self preservation and interest, people will remain slaves. As Harriet Tubman said “I could have freed thousands more, if they had known they were slaves”.
The objective is to constantly lure and lull the masses into the elite-dominated electoral process, thus legitimizing the neo-liberal economic system and its political apparatus, producing a fragile social peace and a “peaceful” mechanism for competition among the Filipino elite and oligarchy. In his book on French colonialism in Algeria titled, The Wretched of the Earth, Frantz Fanon wrote:
“Colonialism is not satisfied merely with holding a people in its grip, and emptying the native’s brain of all form and content. By a kind of perverted logic, it turns to the past of the people, and distorts, disfigures and destroys it.” By Roland G. Simbulan, Convenor/Coordinator, Manila Studies Program
University of the Philippines(Lecture at the University of the Philippines-Manila, Rizal Hall, Padre Faura, Manila, August 18, 2000.)
These Colonial Masters have their Agents to Distort our History making us ignorant with our own past, so they can blind us about our present as well as our future.

Scientific Blunders: how futile the minds of greatest men in science

I stumbled upon a book which I really laugh a heart loud but seriously it is not a comedy book it is about Scientific Blunder which made me appreciate and realized more deeply how scientific and truthful the words of the Lord Jesus Christ in the Bible.
I for one a lover of science and wisdom which is the literally meaning of philosophy but according to Stephen Hawking “philosophy is dead” from his book Grand Design.
For me if you are really a lover of scientific truth you will not kill the very medium that leads you to science discovery. Philosophy means searching for the meaning. It gave birth to different branches of science including the mastery of Stephen Hawking as physicist.
Let’s go back with the foundation of science were atheist and scientist put their trust, lives, dreams and ambitions. Let us analyze the authenticity and validity of the words of famous scientist in comparison with the words of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Bible.
I want to welcome you first to the unscientific world of scientific blunders.
The history of science is littered with remarkable errors, many of which are, of course, no more than aspects of the scientific ignorance of the time. Even so, they are among the most momentous errors in the history of humankind and many of them have had serious consequences. This makes them particularly interesting and instructive. Some blunders are the result of carelessness; some arise from plain, stubborn wrong-headedness; some from arrogance ; some arise from willful and culpable ignorance; some from spectacular bad luck; and some from human moral frailty. Nevertheless, however incredible the bald facts of each case may seem, there are nearly always extenuating factors, and, in spite of our natural tendency to look for the worst in other people, it is good for us to remember this and look tolerantly for these mitigating circumstances.
Other people’s errors and blunders are strangely fascinating and there is no reason why we should not enjoy a little harmless gratification at other people’s expense, but there are better motives for reading about blunders than the expectation of feeling superior. Bu investigating the circumstances in which blunders occurs, we can learn a great deal, not only about human nature but also about the subject that is the occasion for the blunder.
Paradoxically, for the general non-scientific reader, this is probably the best way of learning about science- as a review of most of the stories in this book will quickly show. Getting it wrong is very often the way that science advances. Provisional, but wrong, ideas give way to better-but still wrong- ideas. Every stage in this process may involve a blunder.
Manny scientific blunders happen because the person concerned is more preoccupied with the possible rewards of a discovery-fame, status, professional advancement, perhaps even wealth- than with the disinterested pursuit of truth. When this happens, there is danger of bias in favor of the hoped-for outcome. Learning in the desired direction can cause one of the most serious kinds of scientific blunder- to be tempted into dishonesty. It is very hard for the scientist to maintain his or her moral integrity at the expense of months or year of promising work. As Thomas Henry Huxley put it, “ The great tragedy of science is the slaying of a beautiful hypothesis by an ugly fact”’
The scientist who finds himself, or herself, ignoring- or explaining away- uncomfortable results that don’t fit in with the preconceived hypothesis is on a slippery slope and is liable to end up in disgrace and ruin.
Most scientific workers are aware of their fallibility and take precautions to avoid the blunder of bias in the interpretation of results.
Scientist are just people and are not exempt from the human weaknesses that best us all. Palin unvarnished deliberate fraud cannot, of course, be classed as a blunder, but there must be very few scientists who set out with the deliberate intention of perpetrating a scientific deception. They are all much too intelligent to think that they could ever get away with it
(This article will be another archive of mine about the hypocrisy of atheism and some scientists who cannot stand on their principle in the matters of Supreme Being and Supernatural, it is better for them to be ambiguous than to have a clear views about the things which they cannot see a Supreme Intelligent Being. But if you will change those what they call religious terminologies with the same principle (in the truest sense of science) to scientific ones there will be no argument needed.
For example the scripture said about resurrection change it to cryogenics, new earth to other earth, the phrase in the beginning to Big Bang, heavens to cosmos, they don’t want to call it faith but they do have belief or hope with their experiment without seeing first the real outcome of their scientific work, and no financial institution even the government that will put huge amount of money to any experiment that will just give them the outcome of uncertainty. Change the word creation to accident , by chance, natural selection or evolution that will make these words and phrases for them it will be sweet sounding.
Atheist living in the shadow of the theist Scientist quoting their words and explaining their remarkable contribution to scientific community just to prove that science had buried God, that faith is the process of non thinking according to Richard Dawkins about his delusion. Comparing Dawkins to Newton and Einstein which are not Atheist — these are greatest scientists in their own time. Newton and Einstein have faith in God, not even the friends of Dawkins the remaining 3 horsemen will believed that Einstein and Newton were engaging with the process of non-thinking because of their faith.
Even Dawkins had his faith in future space exploration of his video lectures he said that maybe one day we will go to other planet through spaceship. So what do you call this scientific statement? That can be observed? Can our physical features as human being can bear the light years travel. Imagine just going to Uranus you need to spent around 25 years and that is only within the solar system. How about going back another 25 years? So who is the one engaging with the process of non-thinking? Definitely it’s Dawkins.)
“Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the LORD”. Here are samples of the futility of the greatest scientific mind ever live on earth.

The American Biologist and Nobel Laureate Hermann Muller( 1890-1967), who used x-rays to induce genetic mutations.
First Media Blitzkrieg
The first scientist to attract the attention of the press worldwide was the German Physicist Wihelm Roentgen (1845-1923) when he discovered X-rays in 1895. Within a year, about 1,000 articles an 50 books and pamphlets appeared on the subject all over the world!
Failed Predictions
“ I have committed the ultimate sin. I have predicted the existence of a particle that can never be observed”, said the German Physicist and Nobel Laureate Wolfgang Pauli ( 1913-1993) when he first postulated “neutrino”- the chargeless, massless particle-1930, Ny 1959, the particle was detected.
These so-called cosmic rays certainly don’t come from the cosmos. – William Francis Swann, Director of the Franklin Institute of Physics
However fascinating it may be as a scholarly achievement, there is virtually nothing that has come from molecular biology that can be of any value of human living.- Frank MacFarlane Burnet9 1899-1985). Nobel Prizewinning immunologist whose work made organ transplantation possible
People have been writing about a rocket shot from one country to another, carrying an atomic bomb which would land exactly on a certain target, such as a city. I say that I don’t think anyone in the world knows how to do such a thing, and I feel confident that it will not be done for a very long time to come. I think we can leave that out of our thinking.
Dr Vannevar Bush ( 1890-1974), computer pioneer, addressing an American Congressional Committee in 1945, five years before Russia demonstrated its firs intercontinental ballistic missile
Cars will cost as little as $200. People will have two month vacations. They wil care little for possessions. The happiest people live in one-factory villages.—Predictions for 1960 by general Motors in a “FUTURAMA” exhibit at the 1939-40 new York world’s fair
Air is necessary for violent motion. Violent motion exists between the moon and the earth. Therefore the space between the moon and the earth is full of air.—Aristotle (384-322 BC)
The human embryo arises from the sperm alone- Aristotle ( 384-322 BC)
Modern Science kills God and takes his place on the vacant throne. Science is the sole legitimate arbiter of all relevant truth.
The name Big Bang for a theory of the origin of the universe was coined in a somewhat mocking manner by the british astrophysicist Fred Hoyle (1915-2001), when he was asked to give a series of popular science talks on radio in 1950. Hoyle coined this pun because he himself opposed to the theory that the universe originated in a big explosion. The pun somehow stuck on the theory!
After atom bombs were dropped over the Japanese cities, Albert Einstein ( for details, see Historic letter) regretted his decision to write a letter to the U.S. President. He said on more than one occasion, “Had I known that the Germans would not succeed in producing an atomic bomb, I would not have lifted a finger”.
De Revolutionibus Orbium Coelesium ( The Revolution of Heavenly Spheres.)—Nicolaus Copernicus ( Copernik)
Curiously this revolutionary book had a strange and anonymous preface, ( This book,” claimed the writer of the pReface, “ is written to present not a scientific fact but a playful fancy”.
Today, the reputation of Polish Astronomer (1473-1543) as propunder of the Heliocentric theory of the universe, which created a revolution in science, is based on a single book
Pincipia Mathematica- The world’s most prestigious science book principia authored by Isaac Newton
When the now highly acclaimed Principia was published. Isaac Newton heard the following remark from a student in the street: “there goes the man who wrote a book that neither he nor anybody else understands”!
The german Mathematician Georg Cantor ( 1845-1918), renowned for his concepts of infinity, underwent firs of depression when his mathematical ideas were attacked by his own teacher Leopold Kronecker. He was eventually admitted to a mental hospital where he died.
It is often claimed that scientists lack social responsibility. They do not bother about the effects of their discoveries and inventions on the society at large.
The optimist regards the future as uncertain—Eugene P. Wigner
Philosophy
Once a student asked the eminent Greek Mathematician Pythagorus, “ master, art thou a sophist?” (“ Master, are you wise”) Pythagorus replied,” I pray thee, call me not a wise but rather a lover of wisdom”). In other words, Philosophy means a lover of wisdom. That’s how this subject was named.
Darwin’s Bulldog
The British biologist and science populariser Thomas Henry Huxly (1825-1895) was called “ Darwin’s Bulldog” because he fought tooth and nail for Charles Darwin’s Theory of the eveolution of life at various public forums against Churchmen’s vicious attack. Darwin himself kept to his researches and never embroiled himself in any debate!
Eliminating Personal Errors
The American Astronomer an aeronautical pioneer Samuel Pierpont Langley (1834-1906) conceived of a machine which could eliminate”personal error”. He wrote the machine in th American Journal of Science in 1877.
Failed Industrialist
William Shockley, the American Pysicist and Nobel Laureate, who invented the transistor, failed to set up a semiconductor industry in the Silicon Valley, a region he helped build by encouraging his students to set up silicon industries there!
Ironies
Childless
The British Scientish Francis Dalon ( 1822-1911), who is roday remembered for laying the foundation of the subject “Eugenics”, which deals with how to improve offsprings, was childless!
Chemist Must Ruin Their Health?
When health of the German Chemist Ausugt Kekule (1829-1896), who gave the ring structure of benzene, deteriorated in the middle age, the German chemisht Justus von Liebig ( 1803-1873) wrote to him, “If you want to be a chemist, you will have to ruin your health:no one who does not ruin his health with study will ever do anything in chemistry nowadays? “Mankind will not remain tied to the earth forever” Russian Father of Rocketry- Konstantin E. Tsiolkovsky ( 1857-1935)
Penance
Ub 1691, the naturalist John Ray wrote the book The wisdom of God Manifested in the works of Creation as a penance to God for devoting his life to biology and natural history!

Ayon sa aklat na nailimbag noong 1902 The Katipunan An Illustrated Historical and Biographical Studyof the Society which Brought about theInsurrection of 1896–98 & 1899
Taken FromSpanish StateDocumentsByFrancis St. ClairManila “Amigos del Pais,” Palacio
1902
V. Romualdo de J., sculptor of Sta. Cruz, Manila, declared that he had
founded the Katipunan in 1888, the year in which the manifestation
against the Archbishop was made; he defined the aim of the society
to be "the killing of all the Spaniards and the taking possession of
the islands."
Ayon kay Sir Joseph Viray –chief Visual arts Office, University Center for Culture and Arts at may rango sa Knights of Commander of Rizal.
“With a centenary commemoration of the transfer of Jose Rizal’s mortal remains from Binondo to Luneta on December 30, 2012 organized jointly by the Order of the Knights of Rizal and the National Historical Commission of the Philippines, Lolong’s place in Philippine art history is re-emphasized. Lolong’s artwork—the ivory urn which contained the mortal remains of the hero-- is the vessel which possibly could make the sculptor’s artistic excellence highlighted once more in Philippine history.
Urns are looked at by ancient Greeks as symbols for mourning because they contained ashes or bones of dead people.”

Cruz, Maynila.
O anu ang kinalaman niya sa Katipunan? (excited ka?)
Romualdo Teodoro de Jesus’ 1888 Secret Society Romualdo T. de Jesus ,was Rizal’s mentor in the art of sculpture. He “had organized a secret society designed to achieve the country’s emancipation through violent elimination of all Spaniards in the Philippines. (Molina:Vol.II,29).
Jesuit historian Jose Arcilla believed that this secret society, was successfully revived four years later(1892) through the initiative of Marcelo H.del Pilar- the “Katipunan”- that ignited the Revolution of 1896.

Excerpts from the Letter of Manuel Luengo, Civil Governor of Manila, to the Minister of The Colonies
The labor of Masonry had not been the labor of a year of two. The society was established many years ago, and according to the statement made in an official investigation held by this government by Romualdo Teodoro de Jesus, a sculptor who has a place of business in the Snata Cruz district of this city, he was the first to establish the Katipunan in 1888, the same year in fact in which an important native manifestation was made in the city of Manila against Archbishop Payo because of the orders of Sr. Quiroga regarding the entry of bodies of the dead into the churches, an affair which created excitement in those days and set a bad precedent in the history of this ungrateful people.
This same Romualdo de Jesus alias Lolong, defines the Katipunan and the purposes of the society, and defines them as laconically as horribly, saying that “ it was to kill all the Spaniards and seize the islands’.
In order to carry out this fearful and criminal idea they found it necessary to recruit many people of all classes and from all provinces, seeking a subtle means to launch the plot. The Filipino peasant being, by reason of his ignorance and his lack of culture, like all peoples of his kind subject o fanaticism, they set about to fanaticize the masses, these hordes of childish people, these ignorant laborers; this they did by means of the pacto de sangre, causing them to swear war to the death against the Spaniards, making an incision in the left arm and with the blood that flowed from the wound they made them sign their frightful oath.
This is all I can, at this time, say regarding the matter that will give a general idea of what is going on here.
